Import / Export - Robust Data Backup and Recovery
Detailed Description:
Now that the Commerce Suite is starting to become a pretty powerful package, an
important area that needs some work is the ability to backup and recover data
from the Orders module, as well as the ability to export it to various
book-keeping formats.

While the Export to other formats can be achieved as their own modules, the
Orders module really needs a way to backup and restore data - particularly so
you can backup the data before upgrading.

OrdersToIIF module exists, but needs updating to work with new Orders module. 
I'm working on it.
you're right... export to other formats should be done as additional modules.

For backup I typically just do a mysql dump of the entire database.
