Subscription Tag
Detailed Description:
Hi,

I was wondering if it was possible to develop a "quick subscribe" Tag, which can
be inserted, for example, into a side bar that appears on every page, which
allows users to subscribe quickly, from any page. This would be separate from
the {cms_module module='NMS' mode='subscribe'} tag usually inserted in a single
page to allow users to subscribe.

Thanks,

Hodge

Can you describe what you're looking for in greater detail?
Like, just a text box for the user's email address and a
"Sign up" button?

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the rapid response! Yes, that's exactly what I'm looking for - just a
simple text box for the user to input their email, and a submit button. I tried
to use the {cms_module module='NMS' mode='subscribe'} tag in my side
bar/navigation column, but all of the confirmation details etc. were then
printed in the same column when the confirmation link is accessed from the
email.

So basically, I would just like a simple sign up form which can be placed in the
main CMSMS template to appear on every page, with just a text box for the email
and submit button to serve as an "entry point" to the sign up/confirmation
process. For example - http://www.projectgoodlife.com for which I have
implemented CMS Made Simple, but PHPList for the newsletter system (however, I
would prefer to use Newsletter Made Simple!)

Thanks once again,

Hodge

Okay, so a summary is that you want:

(1) Simple sign up form with just email and submit button
(2) Confirmation details, etc not in the sidebar but in the
main body of the page.

(1) is easy. (2) might take a bit of work. I'll see what I
can do.
