Assigned To: Robert Campbell (calguy1000)
Version: 1.14
CMSMS Version: 2.2.6
Severity: Major
Resolution: Works For Me
State: Open
Summary:
New input not recognized after error
Detailed Description:
Reproduction:
- register new user, but cause an error due to eg not matching passwords, wrong
captcha, not meeting password requirements
- submit the form
- error message appears
- adjust input
- submit the form

Expected: form continues with adjusted input

But: error message stays, form is not processed

Only way to continue is to refresh the page and start over.

I reset the used templates to default, but that did not help.

Apparently, this bug was already reported in [#11584] - for version 1.11

Unfortunately it doesn't work for me.
I installed the latest version (1.14) but same issue still exists.
I did a test with a fresh installation of CMSMS 2.2.6, FEU 2.9 and
Selfregistration 1.14, but ran into the same issue.

Please see the testsite:
http://home.jagro.nl/selfreg.html

Register new user, while making an error with the second password - correct both
passwords on the page with the error and click the button. The error doesn't go
away and the initial values re-appear.

The issue still exists with CMSMS 2.2.6, FEU 2.9 and Selfregistration 1.14

I can confirm this bug as described above.

My test:
- register new user with an invalid password (say 5 characters instead of 6 =
mimimum required), both passwords match
- submission fail
- change the password to a valid one for both fields (say 6 characters)
- submit -> error
- both fields display again 5 characters after submission, as if it was stored
somewhere and cannot be changed.

I think this bug needs to be reopened and fixed.
