After you selected the 'move to' option, another dropdown field appears just
beneath it. It might be a bit hidden, but there you can choose the directory you
would like to move your images to. Did you notice and use this?

I tested by moving around various images to various directories and it seems to
work for me.

Hi Jos. Thx 4 answering. I tried again and looked for this using: chrome
61.0.3163.100, firefox 55.0.3 and ie 11.0.9600 - but in none of this browsers
the second drop down is offered. After Apply a short moment nothing happoens
then i am back in the gallery screen  and nothing happens. If you mail me your
mail address to m_poettgen(at)yahoo.de   i will give you backend access to the
dev site i am working on, so you can try yourselve. Its the latest cmsms version
and the latest Gallery version.

It's obvious that there is a change in behavior of the content window in version
2.2.3.1 on a windows wie rkstation and notebook. The content window ihn 
scrolling down all the time and this seems to block the down dropdown to appear.
I managed to pullmthe buttom of the cmsms backend window fastndown once apply
buttom was hit andni could see the 2.nd  drop down but i could not make use of
it because it very rapidly disappeared again.
The reason seems to be tiny mce editor.  I de sepected show statusbar in tiny
mce seetings and now i can pull the window w down and see the second drop down.
