State: Closed
Summary:
Smaller images being upscaled
Detailed Description:
I found this post in Dutch which, when translated by Chrome, seems to suggest
the same problem:
https://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=76312&hilit=gallery

My problem is that I have set a "maximum" resize size in Gallery of 3000 pixels.
However for images *smaller* than this, they are upsized to 3000 pixels.

I'd like for smaller images not to be resized. The wording on the settings for
Gallery suggests this to be the case, but it is not. It was apparently fixed in
v2.3.1 but I am using v2.3.2 (the latest).

Any fixes?

I'm sorry, I thought that was fixed in the latest version of Plupload.
I found a fix myself: https://github.com/moxiecode/plupload/issues/1460
It might not work properly with the Plupload-cropping option, but Gallery
doesn't use that anyway,

Your suggested fix doesn't seem to work for me - I still get original images at
128x25 upscaled to 3000x585 :(

probably due to browser cache, so please hit Ctrl-F5 a few times

D'oh! Why didn't I think of that? Thanks Jos.

Problem (unwanted upscaling) persists here also - Browser according to my
customer is 'Chrome' (probably on windows 10). I'd really like, if i could
disable the resizing of images in some gallery templates altogether.
