Summary:
Item alias naming underscores changes to hyphens
Detailed Description:
I was wondering if as a default setting the underscores between words in the
item alias could be changed to hyphens? Is there a reason that underscores are
used? from SEO purposes hyphens are seen as spaces, whereas underscores link the
words as if all words are just one word. I know that we can change them
ourselves (unless we have the alias hidden from item view), but for
productivity's sake, I think it would be a good change if it is possible. Just
makes sense to have it as the default with the bonuses it would being to well
titles items for search engine optimisation purposes. Thanks, one of my
favourite modules.

Typically hyphens can cause issues with Smarty and PHP, as aliases have multiple
uses and processing channels. Having said that, I'll try to assess whether that
change will break other LISE functionality (I've been thinking about it for some
time anyway for LISE 2.0). If it does break something there are always other
options that I can implement to give more leeway for SEO purposes.
So, in a nutshell, stay tuned for possible modifications in 2.0.

Hey JoMorg, fantastic, thanks for the feedback, I thought that may be the case.

If it is possible it is just in the "Add Item" here:

Item: Name of item
Alias: name_of_item

proposed to

Item: Name of item
Alias: name-of-item

Thank you for your work, this module is central to so many of my websites.

*staying tuned*
