When adding files to a specific location (e.g. #1, #2) files do not retain that index. If you have files missing in the index chain, say you have uploaded #1 but not #2 attempting to load a file into #3 will not work. The file will be indexed #2. This is useful if specific ids are being used for specific resources, say a manual in #1, software download in #2 etc.
