Custom images not showing after company update
Detailed Description:
If I insert custom images and come back  to update company data (not touching
images) and save the changes, images are not displayed anymore. To insert them
again I need to delete all images from the upload folder and then reinsert them
through company edit form.

I can confirm that I am experiencing the same issue.  From what I can see, there
is a hidden field for the standard image and logo fields that preserve their
current value:

Example:
<input type="hidden" name="m1_imagecurrent" value="currentlogo.jpg">

However, this feature does not exist with the custom image fields.  The
workaround is to delete and re-upload on every save as you mentioned.  Or,
rename and re-upload the file (but that just creates orphaned files.)
