Version: Guestbook-1.1.12
CMSMS Version: None
Severity: Critical
Resolution: Fixed
State: Closed
Summary:
Does not seem to be compatible with 1.8.1
Detailed Description:
I've just updated two different sites from 1.7.1 to 1.8.1 both using Guestbook
1.1.12 and the pages do not render correctly.

Nothing renders above <body> tag and nothing after the module call tag starts.

Do you have the same issue when you use cms_module tags in a page to make your
guestbook instead of the guestbook's content type?

There is two tags to done the job: {cms_module module="guestbook"} or only
{guestbook}
You can add your parameters like in the help page.

I currently am only using {cms_module module="Guestbook" number=5 shownow=false
showaddform=0 dateformat=Y/m/d mailnoti=xxx@email.com} in a regular content
page.

Turning on debug, I see that it's related to the same bug Rolf posted:

I also just tested creating a guestbook content type page and the same bug
occurs.

I thought that you report the random display issue which i'm solving on my local
copy.

You can add the or disable comment for the function in the function class of
cmsms.

Thanks, Gabe.
I ended up using Rolf's fix as I could not find the commented out code you
listed in any of the module files.

Will you guys be releasing the fix to this soon?

Thanks again.

Ok. I'm working on the next version!
In next version I will replace "nl2pnbr" by "nl2br" function therefore you can
let the fix you use.

I'm now on my comp, so you can found the function in `lib\misc.functions.php` at
519 line.
Delete the comments delimitary tags : /* and */.
And you'll get the same result as in the past.

Consequently, it's the same issue than here:
http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/bug/view/5128
I leave the rapport open anyway until the new version was released.
