Version: 1.2.x
CMSMS Version: None
Severity: Minor
Resolution: Won't Fix
State: Closed
Summary:
Checksum error when installing from Module Manager
Detailed Description:
When installing from the Module Manager, I get

Checksum error. This probably indicates a corrupt file, either when it was
uploaded to the repository, or a problem in transit down to your machine.

However, the module can be installed from the .xml file available on the forge
at

http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/project/files/197

This problem has been described on the forum since 27 Aug 2007 here:

This module was created in 2006, as a temporary mean of backup, for CMS Made
Simple, version 1.0.

At the end of 2006, the main developers told me my module was to soon become
completely obsolete. New versions of CMS Made Simple (version 1.1 and newer)
should now include a native backup system.

OK. But can it be removed from the module manager list? Also, I was able to
successively install it from the file available on the forge. Should there be a
disclaimer that this module is obsolete?
I will update the forum with this new information.
