So far it is possible to register to an event and to un-register again after a
registration.

Would it be possible to implement three states: Default would be something like
"no status" and then each user could decide to either "register" or "not to
register". This would make it possible to se who has actively decided about
whether they want to participate in an event or not and who has not yet showed
an interest.
