Include Page URL option to allow site.com/username option
Detailed Description:
I am currently in the process of creating a slew of redirect pages linking
site.com/username to the site.com/user/id/page/username that user directory
creates.

I would love to this this redirect feature included automatically (similar to
company directory).

I don't mind if the ULR just redirects to the full URL, but giving website
members a nice short URL to remember/share adds a ton of value.

This is not quite so simple... particularly when using email addresses as
usernames, or using other authentication mechanisms...  but it could be done.

Would need to be a sponsored feature.

Yeah, i ended up not using email as username and opted for a shortened version
of the company name.

Creating redirects works fine for a small group of members. And i've found
Company DIrectory DOES have this feature, so I'll just use CD when its an issue.
