I read that google and maybe other crawler look for gzipped versions of
sitemap.xml. This should reduce traffic. It may not be as important for cmsms
user as for the search engines. But you save same traffic they save a lot. I
have made some additions to v1.2.1 code to give the cmsms user the option to
turn on this feature. So if someone is interested, I have a working version
running.
