Sorry, try version 2.2.2 for CMSMS 1.11, its last and official supported.

But 1.11.1 does not have 2.2.2 in the Module Manager, the version available is
2.1 and I tried installing via xml. It gives the following error:

Anyway I fixed it myself by changing the edititem.tpl by including the buttons
within the form.

Yes, but It don't work with gallery tab.
Version 2.2.3 out now.
