[#6896] Hide thumbnails in Settings has no effect

Summary:
Hide thumbnails in Settings has no effect
Detailed Description:
While researching fo bug report 6895 I noticed that the setting for:
Hide ImageManager and FileHandler thumnails (files that start with 'thumb_')
from view (recommended).
has no effect,

I unchecked it but no thumbnails are shown.

plFileHandler/Settings/Sample shows same behaviour.

The setting will not have an effect if the "Show subfiles" preference is
checked... is it on?

Show subfiles (automatically resized images) in the selector interface: OFF
Show subfiles (automatically resized images) in the browser: ON - now OFF

Still no thumbails are shown.

Sorry, I was unclear:
if Hide thumbnails OR Show subfiles is off, no thumbnails will be visible. In
order for them to be visible, you must have Hide thumbnails Off and Show
subfiles On.

Oookay! Now it works.
But I had to logout of admin and login with another browser to see the
thumbnails.

...but this is another problem.
