Summary:
data missing in pages using lise. random bug
Detailed Description:
Hello,
On a website using a lot of LISE (7 instances), we notice a complete dysfunction
of LISE instances that can last between one and several hours before returning
to normal.
The templates are displayed but the data is missing.
Before each episode, there is a peak of use on the server but that uses only 5%
of the processor and 35% of the ram.
We have stopped the automatic update (LISE and Instances). It does not change
anything.
Nothing else will malfunction during these episodes. No problem of server
availability. All pages and other modules work normally.
We can not reproduce the bug. No special conditions noted.
I can not find a record of a similar problem on the forums.
Is this a bug? Have you ever seen this problem?
Thank you.

I have sites using over 20 LISE instances, some of them with over 50 thousand
items, working without any issues. The only delays I have seen on instances with
those many items is some serious delay when trying to filter on the frontend for
non-paginated (no limit of items per page) summary (default action) calls and
when items are over a thousand. Tested on different servers and never found the
issue you describe. I would venture saying it's due to server hardware issues or
poorly configured server. I would test cloning the site and testing it on a
local server or on a distinct server to see if the issue is reproducible at all
in a different server environment.

Hi Fernando,
Thank you for your reply.
I don't question the possibilities of LISE. I don't understand what is actually
happening. This site worked well for two years with Listit2 then LISE.
Since the update to version 2 of CMSMS and 1.3.1 of LISE, we have these strange
phenomena.
I don't care about the normal behavior, no overload. The server is dedicated,
stable with a very classic configuration.
If you want to test on a local configuration, I agree, but I have to ask
permission from the site owner.
How do you send a copy of the database and files?
thanks a lot.
Michel

Hi Fernando,
I do not have permission to send you a copy of the website.
I'm going to do tests under the conditions you proposed.
In the meantime, we have upgraded the server's performance. We will see if this
has an impact.
Thank you for your help.

Hi Fernando,
The problem is still there.
I add a system for detecting the absence of data, an automatic registration of a
replacement page in case of data loss. It's a bad solution but visitors can see
content when data loss.
It seems to be a problem with CMSMS caching. When that happens, just clear the
cmsms cache to get back to normal.
Does this tell you a way to solve this problem?
Have a nice day.
Michel.
