Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question about the CMSMS Forge? Please add it here (you need to be registered and logged in).

1. Why doesn't my news post get displayed on the front page?

When a news article is written for a project it is automatically displayed in that project. For it to appear on the front page, however, it must be approved by a CMSMS Forge administrator.* These admins do not get e-mail notification of new news articles, but are checking this manually every once in awhile.

For a news article to be posted on the front page, certain criterias need to be met:

  1. It can be written in any language, but if it is not a language project there must be at least a summary in English, so that anybody can understand what it is about.
  2. It must be of common interest (another reason why there must be a summary in English, unless it is a language project).
  3. Too frequent news articles cannot be posted about the same project, like several in a day. Then rather combine these news into one article.
  4. News about language file releases are not published on the front page if those files will be included in another release not long after, if those releases are still in the Latest File Releases list.
