The function is deprecated - now it does follow the root block option (which is
a little bad because sometimes you need to have no starting <p> and whant to
have new <p> on new lines... don't know if you can do someting?)

We are aware of this, unfortunately there is not much we can do about it. if we
set forced_root_block on people get pissed, if we don't people get pissed.

Summary: We know you are pissed, you have every right for that, but that won't
change anything :)

Unless TinyMCE team gives option for enter and shift+enter behavior sitsuation
stays as it is.

Ok, I understand ;) But maybe the option <p>/<br> can then be removed from the
module ?

Yeah it can be removed, when ever me or Silmarillion has time for that, would
like to centralize some things here as well, so will have to take look into it a
bit later.

Can you upgrade to TinyMCE 3.5.6 and restore the force_p_newlines option?

There is a very nice new function for image resizing in webkit too :)
