Summary:
Comma separated list of keywords
Detailed Description:
What I found with adding keywords using only spaces is that you can only have 1
word keywords instead of keyword phrases.

so I want to add "web design" as a keyword it current comes in as "web, desiign"

I'd say this is a pretty urgent feature request, maybe a bug?

UPDATE: I also noticed that it takes away any duplicate keywords which I'd
prefer it not to. For example I could use "web design, design principles" and
so on.

Not a bug - a deliberate feature.

SEOTools2 filters keywords to only appear once. This avoids keyword spamming
and gives you the best possible combination of words.

Search engines look at many factors, including keyword proximity. When you have
the words 'web' and 'design' next to each other, they will give the page
preference over a page with eg 'web and graphic design' in the content.

Search phrases only apply when the user enters the correct syntax in the search
engine input field and then instructs the search engine to look for that
specific phrase, eg in Google clicks 'More Search Options', then 'Verbatim'.

Even in this scenario, having the phrase "web design" in the list of keywords
would have little impact. It's the combination of URL, page title, keywords,
description and content etc that gives the page importance, not keywords alone.

From Google Search help: "Every word matters. Generally, all the words you put
in the query will be used. "

Hope this helps

Thanks for the update. I completely agree with the level of importance keywords
bring compare to content, URL and page title. I appreciate the detailed
response

Hi MItch

I've had a number of requests for this feature and rather than change the module
which I believe is built on Google's best practices for preventing keyword
spamming, I've devised a way around it in the templates.

See my article in Tips and Tricks in the CMSMS forum.

I've changed the status to 'Invalid' - not a nice way to describe it but there
is the above workaround which is valid. :)

Commas separarated lists of keywords will be available in SEOTools v1.2 when
it's released. You're welcome to beta test if you like by downloading a copy
from SVN. Would appreciate feedback if you do beta test it.
